This position is responsible for maintaining the performance and reliability of manufacturing machinery, including printing presses, laminators, slitters, pouch-making equipment, and converting machinery. The primary objective of this role is to quickly diagnose equipment issues, minimize downtime, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently. This is not a facilities maintenance position. Candidates should have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment rather than building systems, HVAC, plumbing, or general facility maintenance. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues on production equipment Respond to machine breakdowns and emergency equipment failures to minimize production downtime Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur Maintain and repair printing presses, laminators, slitters, pouch-making equipment, converting machinery, and other production-related equipment Perform machine adjustments, alignments, calibrations, and changeover support as required Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals Work closely with Production, Operations, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and reliability Document repairs, maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history Recommend process improvements and equipment modifications to improve efficiency and reduce downtime Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment Experience working with printing presses, converting equipment, packaging machinery, laminators, slitters, pouch-making equipment, or similar industrial machinery strongly preferred Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot machine controls, sensors, motors, drives, gearboxes, bearings, and production equipment components Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics Experience performing preventative maintenance programs Ability to work independently and prioritize machine breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Manufacturing experience required Preferred Experience Experience working with flexible packaging, printing, converting, laminating, slitting, or pouch-making equipment is highly preferred. Experience with Uteco printing presses or similar flexographic printing equipment is a plus.
