Millwright / Conveyor Systems Specialist 📍 Buffalo, NY ⏰ 1st Shift | 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM 💰 $30
  • 35/hour + Bonuses
  • Approximately 25% Travel Lead Projects.

This Millwright role goes beyond hands‑on installation and repair—you'll be client‑facing , process‑driven , and trusted to manage projects from material prep through final installation. You'll work directly with customers to customize, install, and maintain conveyor belt systems and rubber components, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. It's an ideal opportunity for an experienced millwright or industrial technician who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and customer interaction . Install lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting systems Fabricate, splice, vulcanize, install, and repair conveyor belts and rubber products Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support system performance improvements Work directly with customers on job requirements, timelines, and site needs Customize conveyor solutions to meet client specifications Receive, verify, and manage parts, materials, and stock inventory Prepare sales orders and coordinate material staging Pick up and deliver parts, equipment, and supplies as needed Travel to customer sites (~25%) for installation and service work Maintain strong safety compliance and a clean, organized workspace What You Bring Experience as a millwright, industrial technician, or mechanic Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in physically demanding environments Comfort working independently and managing job tasks on‑site Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to pass a DOT physical Willingness to travel and work overtime or weekends when needed Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction High school diploma or equivalent Nice‑to‑Have Skills (Highly Valued) Conveyor belt splicing and vulcanizing experience Inventory and materials management Electrical troubleshooting Mechanical and electrical assembly Precision measurement experience Process‑driven mindset with attention to efficiency and quality Work Environment Non‑climate‑controlled shop and warehouse environment Small, experienced team of 3-4 technicians Industrial tools, machinery, and loading dock access Mix of in‑shop fabrication and field service work First‑shift schedule with periodic travel to customer sites Projects include conveyor belt installation, emergency repairs, splicing, vulcanizing, and durable rubber products for industrial applications Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
  • $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
