Duties Description As a Trades General you will perform journey-level work in one trade and skilled and semi-skilled level work in a combination of other trades in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment. You may supervise others in maintenance, repair, installation and construction activities.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of methods, material, tools and equipment used in the craft or crafts to which assigned.
- Working knowledge of applicable standards and plumbing and electrical code regulations.
- Working knowledge of the rules and regulations of the facility governing the activities of State wards.
- Ability to use the tools, machines, equipment and material of the craft or crafts to which assigned.
- Ability to train and supervise others.
- Ability to plan and lay out work and diagnose problems.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams, architectural blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Mechanical (HVAC), carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, masonry, locksmith
- Provide field supervision to staff whose duties include facility maintenance and construction.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, project plans, and schedules.
- Possess working knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used.
- Work independently as needed, Perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
- May climb ladders and work at heights on scaffolds and platforms, and in confined spaces.
- Demonstrate the ability to adhere to OSHA safety standards.
