Industrial Machinery Field Service Technician

The Industrial Machinery Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment at customer sites or within manufacturing facilities. This role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Troubleshoot control systems, motors, conveyors, pumps, and automated equipment
• Replace or repair defective components, bearings, belts, valves, sensors, and wiring
• Test equipment after service to ensure proper operation
• Document service work, repairs, and parts usage accurately
• Communicate findings and recommendations with customers or supervisors
• Follow workplace safety procedures and comply with OSHA standards
• Travel to customer sites as required (may include overnight travel)

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (technical certification or associate degree preferred)
• 2-5 years of experience servicing industrial machinery
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Work environment :
• Manufacturing facilities, warehouses and customer sites
• Exposure to noise, moving machinery and industrial conditions
• May require standing, bending, climbing and working in confided spaces

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour
