Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Technician About the Role We're seeking a reliable and hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their maintenance career or with technical training who wants to grow in an industrial environment. You'll play a key role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment issues, and collaborating with production teams. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on plant equipment Handle basic electrical tasks (resetting breakers, replacing fuses, motors, sensors, etc.) Work with industrial controls such as variable speed drives, sensors, switches, and starters Replace and align motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, and pulleys Perform conveyor belt repairs and splicing Assist with pump maintenance, including disassembly/reassembly and packing replacement Complete lubrication schedules and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks Respond to maintenance calls and document work in daily logs Coordinate with production, shipping, and other departments to minimize downtime Source parts and materials as needed Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental procedures Support continuous improvement and participate in special projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or completion of a vocational/technical training program Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting Ability to work shift schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Familiarity with industrial controls and automation components Metal fabrication and/or welding experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) High School Diploma or equivalent Take a look at what it's like to be part of our family at Polyglass!
