Mechanic Job Description Join our team as a Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency. This position offers union membership after 45 days and benefits after 90 days, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a boot/glasses reimbursement, tool stipend, and paid time off. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, including inspection, tightening, adjusting pans, and lubricating. Diagnose and correct mechanical and material problems without guidance, and initiate action on electrical issues. Repair and modify equipment according to schematics and blueprints, assemble equipment, and move it to and from the production floor. Ensure proper feeding of material by loading rolls of wrapping material onto spindle and splicing material. Guide and assist less qualified personnel in making repairs using portable and shop tools and equipment. Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and machining of simple items such as bushings and small transmission housings. Aid in cleaning molding line and wrapping equipment. Adjust depositing and ring feed components to ensure product quality. Monitor humidity in wrapping room and advise supervisor on necessary revisions and improvements. Maintain safety devices and recommend their installation when necessary. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment producing Ring Pops, with temperature-controlled conditions and two production lines. Dress code requires bringing personal hand tools like wrenches and screwdrivers, while all other tools and PPE are provided. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Scranton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $59280.00 - $60000.00/yr. 401k, 10 vacations, 5 personal and 5 sick, 12 holiday pays Medical dental and vision. 50k for life insurance.
