Job Description

Job Description & Duties:
Repair, maintain, and install a variety of machinery and equipment throughout Paper Mill and Power departments.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible for safety and safe procedures and practices on the job. 2.
Operate:
drill press, grinders, welders, mig, stick and tig, acetylene and oxygen. 3. Be able to work with ladders, scaffolds and scissor lifts. Also be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in the heat and cold. 4. Devise, fabricate and assemble new modified mechanical equipment. 5. Be proactive instead of reactive (preventative maintenance) look around the area you are working in. 6. Perform rigging, lifting, installation, repair and maintain equipment and machinery used through the paper mill. 7. Be able to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, use a tape measure, read pressure and vacuum gauges. 8. Maintain plumbing throughout the paper mill and company owned properties. 9. Have wood working and concrete abilities preferred. 10. Be able to operate overhead cranes will train as needed. 11. Work from blueprints and sketches or use personal knowledge of task to be performed. 12. Assemble necessary tools and equipment and materials to perform work and convey to scene of repair job using hand truck or electric truck. 13. Observe machinery for malfunction. 14. Tear down, replace, or repair worn or damaged parts. 15. Align machinery and equipment using calipers, rule, level, plum bob, thickness gauges, square, micrometer and computer.
