  • Full-time Traveling Industrial Millwright Matlock Mechanical is a well-established, nationally respected mechanical contractor headquartered in Jackson, Tennessee.
We specialize in commercial and industrial HVAC and plumbing systems, with a strong presence in manufacturing and large-scale industrial facilities across the country. We are currently seeking an Industrial Traveling Millwright to support projects throughout the United States. ScheduleTravel:
This is a travel-based position supporting projects nationwide. Work schedules may vary depending on job location and scope, with overtime frequently available. Flexibility is important, as some projects may require extended hours or weekend work.
Compensation:
$30
  • $35 per hour, depending on experience What We're Looking For Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable record Willingness to travel extensively for projects across the U.
S. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in millwright work Proficiency in welding, rigging, and mechanical assembly Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical documents Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in industrial settings
What You'll Be Doing:
Install, assemble, and remove machinery and mechanical systems using a variety of tools and equipment Set and align equipment and structural components using precision measuring instruments Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for installation and repair work Disassemble and rebuild machinery for maintenance or relocation Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components such as motors, pumps, and compressors Interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation Assist with rigging, hoisting, and positioning of heavy equipment Maintain compliance with all safety standards and job site regulations Support material handling and equipment placement in coordination with site requirements
