Dock Equipment Installer / Service Technician (Industrial) Ziggurat Development Knoxville, TN Job Details Full-time $16 - $35 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications Fabrication Electrical systems Welding Construction Hand tools Full Job Description Overview We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Dock Equipment Installers / Service Technicians and Apprentices (Industrial) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of industrial dock equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations at loading docks and distribution centers. Your expertise will help streamline logistics processes, improve safety standards, and support the overall functionality of industrial facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to make a tangible impact. Duties Install and assemble dock equipment such as dock levelers, bumpers, doors, and safety barriers using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dock equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for custom installations or repairs. Install and repair overhead doors and high-speed doors. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Use hand tools, power tools, and job site equipment. Operate heavy machinery and perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to industrial site safety protocols. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Must be willing to travel ( if needed ). Qualifications Mechanical aptitude (ability to work with tools, equipment, and basic systems). Experience in construction, industrial, maintenance, or a related field preferred. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in physically demanding environments. Comfortable working at heights ( ladders, lifts, and others when needed). Basic understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems is a plus. OSHA certification or job site safety training is a plus. Strong work ethic and reliability- must show up on time and ready to work. Willingness to learn and take direction (especially for apprentices). Reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check and/or drug screening (if required). This is a hands-on role working in warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial facilities. Pay:
