The Opportunity:
Fabrication Generalist The Fabrication Generalist position is your entry point onto the fabrication floor at MSC. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands and want exposure to advanced fabrication processes in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. If you've worked in a mechanical shop using saws, grinders, hand tools, or fabrication equipment, you'll transition well and quickly develop new, highly specialized skills. What You'll Do As a Fabrication Generalist, you'll be an essential part of our operations team, supporting production and facility needs while learning the full scope of our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting fabrication and production of radiological and non-radiological materials
Performing mechanical and physical tasks that keep equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently
Assisting across multiple job classifications as the workload requires
Conducting water treatment, laundry processing, chip burning, waste packaging, and housekeeping in radiological areas
Operating hand tools such as wrenches, saws, and grinders
Working with fabrication equipment, including shears, presses, large band saws, roll levelers, and annealing furnaces
Assisting with basic equipment and facility maintenance and repairs
Preparing products and waste materials for shipment
Working under direct supervision while completing assigned portions of larger projects What Makes You a Great Fit You'll thrive in this role if you: Are comfortable working under routine supervision

Are dependable, safety-focused, and eager to learn Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position that includes: Standing for most of the shift (approximately 75%)
Walking and sitting as needed
Regular bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED
At least 2 years of experience in a fabrication or mechanical environment
Ability to read and understand Radiological Work Permits (RWP) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) Preferred (but Not Required) Experience working in a radiation-controlled environment
