Job Description
The role of the Advanced Millwright is to actively assist in work on mechanical projects. When not involved in field installation projects, this position will be involved in day-to-day shop fabrication activities required by Arc N Spark. This position will require advanced skill and knowledge of all mechanical tenants and possess a good understanding of how to read blueprint drawings and specifications. This position will be involved in basic cutting, grinding, fitting and welding on a daily basis. to work weekends. There will be multiple positions hired from this posting.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to complete all job positions below Advanced Millwright Advanced skill in plumbing (PVC, copper, poly, threaded pipe) Advanced skill in equipment installation and modification (conveyers, augers, mechanical, numatic) Basic skill in welding (MIG and stick on carbon) Entry level stainless steel welding skill Advanced skill in equipment usage in shop and field Basic fitting and fabrication skills Good layout skills Must be able to take instruction Have the ability to oversee two helpers Key responsibilities are as follows but not limited to: 1. Assist In Field Project Installation and Execution Work directly in the acts of field installation, fabrication. Be able to operate tools and/or equipment for installations to an advanced level of competency. Take direction from the Field Installation Technician, Supervisor or Shop Foreman on specific tasks and execute in an efficient, workmanlike manner. Be able to identify technical and mechanical challenges during field installation and bring them to the direct supervisor. Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and advancements to ensure implementation of best practice. 2. Shop Fabrication Work within the ANS shop on tasks as delegated by the Shop Foreman. Be able to complete fabrication tasks including, but not limited to, welding, grinding, assembly and fit up. Be able to operate tools and/or equipment related to shop fabrication tasks with an advanced level of proficiency. Be able to read and interpret blueprint drawings and possess an advanced level of mechanical skill. 3. Quality Control and Compliance Ensure all welding and fabrication work performed meets the ANS quality standards and any applicable industry requirements. Ensure that all personal tooling is in good working condition and able to adequately perform the tasks given. Identify all work performed in accordance with the drawings provided. Any discrepancy or fabrication conflict with the drawings should be presented to either the Shop Foreman, Supervisor, Project Manager or Field Installation Supervisor depending upon the situation. 4. Reporting and Documentation Ensure that all inventory usage is accurately tracked and logged to the correct project. Properly fill out and turn in time tracking sheet. Report all safety incidents to management. 5. Health, Safety, and Risk Management Ensure that all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always used while abiding by all ANS Safety Standards along with all applicable industry standards. Participate in regular safety audits and training sessions to minimize workplace accidents. Identify and address any potential risks to the business or the workforce as they arise. These should be brought to the attention of the Shop Foreman, Supervisor, Project Managers or Field Installation Supervisor, dependent upon the situation. when needed. 6. Schedule, Timekeeping, and Company Policy Actively promote and personally observe all company policies, employee handbook, safety and security procedures.
