Job Summary:
The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for maintaining the condition of the manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to repairing and/or the replacement of failed components and performing preventative maintenance measures when applicable. This role is responsible for developing short and/or longer term repairs that are geared towards improving quality as well as efficiency.
What You Will Do:
Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment in accordance with blueprints, procedures, and manufacturer guidelines. Install, repair, and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems using prior knowledge and on-the-job training. Diagnose equipment and machinery malfunctions and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime Utilize prior knowledge, manufacturer guidelines, and on-the-job training to perform daily activities in a safe and effective way. Use basic test equipment such as multi-meters, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems. Reduce downtime by working efficiently and performing countermeasures aimed at root cause analysis. Safely execute workplace rules and standards. Monitor the safety, quality, and productivity of the production machinery, and equipment. Other Maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A Safety-first mindset that helps maintain a safe work environment. Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule (days and nights) with potential mandatory daily and some Saturday overtime . Consistent on-time attendance and a strong work ethic. Demonstrate a positive attitude, show respect and dignity to all, and a commitment to excellence. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to safely handle various tools.
Physical Requirements:
Standing for up to 8-12 hours per shift. Performing repetitive motions such as reaching, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling in compact work areas. Using fine motor skills to grasp and manipulate tools, parts, and equipment. Ability to reach above shoulder level and below the waist as part of daily tasks. Lifting, pushing and carrying up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. College or technical school coursework completed is preferred Experience with low voltage (12V-24V) electricity handling is preferred Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred. Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience in a cross-cultural working environment is preferred. Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
