.. a decision maker who is detail-oriented because we are literally, "Carving In Stone". We make and install headstones, in cemeteries, typically within a 60 mile radius. You will control the fabrication process, manage installation projects, and uphold the highest standards of quality and care for the families we serve. Your must be dedicated to helping our families lay their families to rest with love and care. This is an extremely rewarding position!!! You may, at times, meet families in the cemetery while you install their headstone so you must be willing to interact with our families and dress appropriately. Our production shed is heated and cooled so this really helps when it's brutal hot or cold. We are committed to doing what we can to take good care of you and make things as easy as possible for you. We are a fourth generation, family-owned business and you're going to LOVE us!!! We're alot of fun and we're going to take really good care of you. You'll have quite a bit of additional PAID time off during the year such as: The week of Thanksgiving We close the entire week of Christmas and don't come back until the day after New Year's so this typically gives us right at 2 weeks off We close Good Friday before Easter We typically close the week of July 4th so long as business is going well Close early on Friday (typically by 3 PM) for Memorial Day and then we'll come back the Tuesday after Memorial Day We are serious about building relationships with the people that decide to work with us. Our hours are:
Monday
- Thursday 8
- 5 Friday 8
- 4:30 Saturdays the sales floor is open from 8
- 12 but you will not be expected to work on those days.
Responsibilities Fabricate headstones and memorials using various hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet custom specifications. Read a tape measure accurately Operate fork lift safely Install headstones with precision Drive company vehicle Conduct cemetery inspections on-site to verify correct placement of monuments Manage construction site activities efficiently while coordinating with team members to meet project deadlines. Perform restoration work or modifications as needed to ensure headstones are durable and visually appealing over time. With a fork lift, load and unload flat bed or box trucks loaded with job supplies such as granite, sand, concrete, etc.. Skills Must be able to read a tape measure English and Spanish speaking would be great but not mandatory. We serve a huge Hispanic population Must be able to manage production schedules and timelines Skilled in using hand tools, power tools and willingness to use (or learn to operate) a fork lift Drive and back a trailer... willing to train to drag and back a trailer for the right candidate Must be willing to maintain equipment such as the company truck, changing air filters in HVAC, maintaining air compressor and other large equipment Would be great if you are mechanically inclined Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members, families and cemetery staff.
