Electro‑Hydraulic Maintenance Specialist — Injection Molding Systems T.I.M. Manufacturing Co Houston, TX Job Details $26 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Manufacturing plant facilities maintenance experience High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Ready for the Next Challenge? Do you thrive on diagnosing tough faults—like a stubborn hydraulic leak, a misbehaving three-phase motor, or a controller that's drifting out of spec? Would you take the call at 2 a.m. to keep a customer shipment on track? If creating a rock-solid PM program for molding machines and their support systems sounds exciting, you'll feel right at home here. If You Can Say "Yes" To These, Let's Talk Building and documenting preventive maintenance on injection molding equipment, granulators, dryers, the water tower, and the chiller. Calibrating molding machine controls and confirming screws and barrels meet minimum specs. Interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics—and tracing faults through complex wiring. Diagnosing mechanical systems (hydraulics, motors, pumps) and delivering timely, budget-conscious repairs. Operating skid loaders, scissor lifts, and forklifts safely to access equipment.
Keeping meticulous records:
PM schedules, installations, structural repairs, work orders, and operating reports. Advising on auxiliary equipment specifications and recommending smart purchases. Providing facility-level support for electrical systems, building construction elements, and plumbing. Maintaining clean, orderly work areas and safe grounds with 5S discipline. Being on call 24/7 when production—and customer commitments—are on the line. Role Overview In this role, you'll work directly with the Maintenance Manager to maximize equipment uptime and utilization. You'll drive continuous improvement across operations and take on additional related tasks as assigned, always with an eye toward reliability, safety, and documentation. Background That Sets You Up to Win Education High School diploma or GED. Experience At least 7 years in industrial maintenance that includes injection molding machines; equivalent experience with blow molding or extrusion is acceptable. Mechanical proficiency with hydraulics, motors, and pumps. Electrical know-how with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex wiring systems. Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues and craft effective, on-time, within-budget repair plans. Capabilities We Value Positive, self-motivated approach and strong interpersonal communication. Timely, fact-based decision-making and sound judgment. Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical/hydraulic schematics. Expert troubleshooting of industrial electrical control and hydraulic systems. Competence with single- and three-phase motor diagnostics. Understanding of logic controls (plus). Independence to drive projects from start to finish and lead improvement initiatives. How We'll Measure Impact Machine downtime minimized. Preventive maintenance completion and documentation quality. Maintenance and repair costs aligned to budget.
