Perform scheduled maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records. Troubleshooting mechanical processes and controls as assigned. Assembling and installing new production equipment. Making mechanical repairs. Following the existing preventative maintenance program. Operating electrical and mechanical test equipment. Maintaining a safe working environment and good housekeeping conditions. Responsibilities Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures. Help create a safety culture and actively engage the workforce in projects that will help reach our journey to zero incidents. Perform diverse duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Able to understand and complete PM's based on PM schedules. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Identification of the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete the job. Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform other duties as trained and qualified for. Skills and Abilities Team player - able to work closely with cross-functional groups Good "hands-on" working approach Strong entry level mechanical maintenance experience and a good knowledge of hand and power tools Able to work independently, identify problems and improve downtime of equipment Strong organizational and project management abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as drawings Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as assigned Ability to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service Ability to learn and perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Requires good verbal and written communications skills. Must have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn about how our products are produced on equipment. Must also have good organization skills, be detailed oriented, possess problem-solving capabilities and have excellent customer service skills. Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload and be able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record 1-3 years of related warehousing or production experience Electrical experience required, including knowledge of electrical wiring, reading prints, and performing electrical installation and troubleshooting A high school diploma or GED Reliable transportation is a must Ability to work overtime, as required Ability to work nights and weekends, as required High school diploma/GED required and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred 1 -2 years of manufacturing experience; entry level hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law) Preferred Qualifications Bi-lingual Spanish/ English Total Rewards Competitive compensation plan
