Job Description

The Bolting General Foreman oversees all bolting‐related mechanical activities on industrial projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of work. This position requires advanced mechanical and torque‑tool expertise, proven leadership abilities, and strict adherence to site safety policies. The General Foreman leads crews, plans work scopes, manages tools and materials, and ensures all bolting tasks meet project standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Strong safety record and commitment to safe work practices. Must pass all required drug tests, physicals, and background screenings. Completion of all site‑required safety training. Demonstrated experience in bolting, torque/tensioning, flange work, or mechanical maintenance. Level II Bolting/Torque certification or equivalent industry credential (preferred or required based on employer). Ability to read drawings, torque charts, and technical documentation. Solid understanding of bolted joint assembly, gasket types, and flange management practices. Proven leadership experience overseeing crews in industrial or construction environments. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to work at heights up to 300' with 100% tie‑off. Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work in elevated or confined spaces. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent tool‑handling skills. Ability to visualize 3D structures and read drawings/isometrics. Good vision (corrective lenses acceptable). Ability to stand for long periods, kneel, stoop, crawl, and work in tight spaces. Strong manual dexterity and physical capability to lift 50 lbs. Effective communicator with the ability to lead by example. Ability to work within precise limits and maintain high accuracy standards. Preferred Additional Qualification JVIC/ Zachry ROF'ed employee. Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. Previous experience in this position with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
