Rollform Operator

Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time, direct-hire Roll Form Operator position based at our Minova facility in Tooele, UT. Core Duties Execute production schedules based on the established priority list. Document OEE metrics, including production output, timing, and any operational incidents. Adhere to quality control procedures to maintain manufacturing standards. Drive Roll Form operations to meet production goals while hitting OEE and performance targets. Mentor fellow operators to ensure the entire line consistently meets performance expectations. Communicate workshop issues to management when supervisors or shift leads are unavailable. Utilize stop-work authority to halt operations if hazardous conditions arise. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all safety protocols. Verify that personal work methods and the immediate area align with Minova SHE&S standards. Communicate any unsafe conditions or workplace incidents immediately. Professional Qualifications Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical program in mechanics or manufacturing, or an associate degree in a related field. Five years of background in steel manufacturing or as a machine operator specifically in tube roll forming.

Technical Proficiency:

High Expertise Operating roll forming equipment for round pipes and steel omega profiles. Performing MIG welding on flat steel using standard welding equipment. Handling steel tooling such as grinding wheels, cutting saws, and shears. Operating overhead cranes and forklifts.

Technical Proficiency:

Medium Expertise Technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, pistons, and groups. Understanding of pneumatic systems, such as valves, regulators, manifolds, and cylinders. Expertise in maintaining and replacing ball and cylinder bearings. Executing first-level TPM tasks like oiling, filter replacements, and lubrication. Proficiency with cutting disks and disk cutting saws. Preferred Skills Performing routine maintenance and changes on rolls. Managing coolant pumps and circuits. Executing standard metal fabrication tasks like bending, stamping, and cutting. Implementing LOTO procedures, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance.
