Mechanic & Millwright Maintenance

About us Kamps Pallets is a full service pallet company delivering innovative pallet and packaging solutions to customers across the United States. We are seeking a Plant Mechanic/Millwright to perform and support facility maintenance activities as defined in job responsibilities. This may include, but not be limited to maintenance functions for buildings, equipment, systems, grounds and all others assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely. Perform repairs, diagnostic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance assignments on a variety of equipment/systems. Handle corrective/preventative maintenance and routine tasks independently. Understand and comply with safety management, EPA and OSHA policies, procedures, and programs. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to document preventative maintenance, repairs, and record keeping.

Position Summary:

• Troubleshooting, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Complete preventative Maintenance items according to PM schedule
• Make machine adjustments in time-sensitive manufacturing operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of plant equipment such as conveyors, Hydraulic pumps, HVAC, and powered industrial equipment.
• Welding and fabricating skills required for equipment such as frames, conveyors, guards, etc.
• Read blueprints, schematics and machine manuals, in order to troubleshoot systems.
• Troubleshoot repair and replace pumps, motors and drives.
• Use hand tools as well as precision measurement tools and instruments.

Maintain various tools.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to prioritize and perform responsibilities accurately and to deadline.
• Must have flexibility with work schedule and job duties when the location environment may change rapidly.
• Operate forklift and man lifts.
• Must have a valid Driver License and be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.

Spanish is a plus. 3 years previous experience preferred. Will train the right person if you have some of these mechanical abilities.

$23.00 - $33.00 per hour
