Millworker

Job Summary This is a unique opportunity to join a fully operational marble factory inside of the quarry in Danby, VT. We are looking for a motivated individual who is willing and interested in continually learning and improving themselves, works well in a team and can multitask.

Major Responsibilities :

Assist in all aspects of the marble manufacturing process

• Operating gang saws, polishing machines, resin machine, multiwire machine, etc.
• Ensure safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Properly follow all company policies and MSHA regulations for safe working procedures. Report any problems to the Mill Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
• Individual must be able to demonstrate clear and effective judgment in situations requiring independent, responsible decision making.
• Other duties as assigned
• This position is for second shift only (3:00pm-11:30pm)

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver's license Must have equipment programming experience Must be willing to work overtime, if necessary Able to perform repetitive lifting of 40-50 lbs units We are willing to train the right person.
