Collaborating with recycling operations leadership and outside vendors, the Industrial Maintenance Specialist is critical in maintaining the recycling facility, decreasing operational downtime, and promoting efficiencies. We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and continuously expand their knowledge of the repair, maintenance, and operation of recycling processing equipment. This position offers a consistent 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. schedule , with occasional overtime opportunities as needed and based on business need. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are most critical for this position. These duties are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks to repair and maintain equipment and facilities including optical sorters, robotic sorters, balers, pneumatic conveyance systems, slide bed conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and heavy equipment. Collaborate with Operations leadership to coordinate repairs, increase efficiencies, and reduce downtime. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and pressure gauges. Work closely with outside vendors to maintain, repair, and retrofit equipment. Produce clear and accurate documentation for all maintenance activities. Prioritize and adjust tasks based on evolving needs and schedules. Complete continuing education and professional trainings. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, including working overtime as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Skills and Knowledge:
Broad electro-mechanical expertise. Knowledge of trucks, tractors, and light equipment operations and maintenance. Familiarity with computerized building maintenance systems and basic electronics troubleshooting. Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings. Skilled in the use of tools and equipment related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or powertrain systems. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
