The RF Test Technician supports production testing, integration, tuning, and verification activities for RF microwave components and antenna subsystems used in mission-critical communication systems. Our Benefits 48 hours of Sick and Safe Leave The Role The RF Test Technician operates with minimal supervision and works closely with RF Test Engineers, Design Engineers, and production teams to execute testing strategies, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities RF Testing and Verification Perform tune, test, verification, and troubleshooting of RF microwave components and antenna subsystems with minimal supervision Execute RF test procedures and acceptance testing in accordance with engineering requirements and customer specifications Troubleshoot RF test setups and associated support equipment to ensure reliable testing operations Diagnose product malfunctions and identify discrepancies utilizing RF test instrumentation and engineering documentation Support validation testing against customer and regulatory requirements including MIL-STD and industry standards Perform testing and troubleshooting of PIM (Passive Intermodulation) antenna feeds and RF feed network assemblies Troubleshooting and Technical Analysis Root-cause test failures and propose corrective actions or mitigations as part of continuous improvement initiatives Analyze RF test data and communicate findings to RF Test and Design Engineers Assist engineering teams in identifying process improvements and improving test efficiency Support troubleshooting activities involving RF passive and active components, waveguide assemblies, and communication systems Independently identify and resolve technical issues related to RF test performance and production integration Integration and Production Support Integrate RF microwave components into antenna feed network subassemblies for testing and validation Support plant production processes and manufacturing operations through advanced technical troubleshooting Complete manufacturing paperwork including travelers, routers, test data sheets, and work instruction signoffs Assist in planning, setup, and execution of production and engineering test activities Documentation and Quality Create and maintain accurate technical documentation including test reports, procedures, logs, and specifications Assist with training RF Test Engineers and RF Test Technicians on testing procedures and equipment operation Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and test reliability Workplace and Compliance Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with 5S practices Comply with company procedures, protocols, and industry regulations Support FOD prevention and general workplace organization initiatives Willingness to work overtime when needed Success Metrics On-Time completion of assigned testing and production tasks Accuracy and completeness of test documentation and production paperwork Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of related technical or manufacturing experience preferred Proficiency using hand tools and RF test instrumentation Ability to efficiently operate vector network analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related RF test equipment Ability to read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, blueprints, and RF test specifications Experience with RF passive and active components, communication systems, and RF/microwave assemblies preferred Familiarity with RF measurement techniques and production test environments preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications preferred Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, satellite communications, or related technical environments preferred Experience with FOD prevention practices preferred Awareness of aerospace quality standards (AS9100 or similar) Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills Basic understanding of RF fundamentals microwave and theory Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and sense of time management Results and solutions-oriented mindset Ability to identify discrepancies within testing and production operations Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time Strong communication and collaboration skills in a production environment Positive attitude and ability to support team development and training initiatives Vitesse Systems, LLC performs work controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
