Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Field Technician 4 to support our diverse team onsite in Palmdale CA, Pax River MD, or hybrid/remote . The individual will perform a variety of duties pertaining to aircraft electrical, mechanical, and composite assemblies. Constructs, troubleshoots, maintains and modifies aircraft systems at various site locations. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment.Essential Functions:
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment and aircraft. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring repairs and modifications are performed per engineering field instructions. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. Position requires both domestic and international travel to fielded aircraft locations. Travel is an integral part of this role, and will be based on individual Customer needs. Potentially up to 75% travel is to be expected. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience. Must have an active U.S. government Secret clearance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company to meet business needs Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds Pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools Must be able to acquire a US passport and travel up to 75% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with Global Hawk or Triton aircraft platforms Experience with electrical, structure and composite layups and repairsPrimary Level Salary Range:
$72,600.00 - $121,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
