Must be a U.S. Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required (interim clearance acceptable to start). Clearance is not required at start but must be obtainable at any time. Candidate must be clearable. CRC/JAG holds the job.
Position Overview:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a highly skilled Field Technician 3 to support the Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) Electronic Warfare product line across multiple U.S. Air Force bases within the Continental United States (CONUS). This role involves working with advanced electronic warfare systems, performing field upgrades, maintenance, and technical support at customer sites. The primary home base is Buffalo, NY; however, alternative home base arrangements may be negotiated. Travel may reach up to 100% domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy to USAF installations across CONUS and OCONUS to upgrade and maintain JTE systems. Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify JTE equipment and subsystems. Analyze system performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions. Execute engineering changes and system upgrades in coordination with engineering teams. Operate electronic and RF test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters. Maintain accurate documentation and provide status updates to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant field technician experience, or: Associate's degree in a technical discipline plus 2 years of related experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools. Proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing: Radar systems Electronic warfare systems RF/digital equipment Ability to travel up to 100% (domestic and international). Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or higher degree with 4+ years of customer-facing field support experience. Experience with JTE or CEESIM systems. Training from U.S. military electronic warfare or RF programs. Strong background in radar, electronic warfare systems, and RF diagnostics.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and position equipment up to 50 lbs.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be from an accredited institution.
Work Schedule:
5/40 workweek. Travel may be up to 100%. Buffalo-based technicians may perform local assignments during downtime. Non-Buffalo-based techsFi will remain at home until deployed to customer sites.
Pay:
$55.00 per hour
