With a major expansion underway in Mesa, Arizona, we are building a high-performance team to support production, testing, and quality of our HVAC and chiller systems. Opportunity We are hiring Junior HVAC / Chiller Technicians (Apprentices) to join our factory operations team. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals early in their HVAC careers who want hands-on experience working alongside senior technicians on newly manufactured equipment. You will gain exposure to testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning processes in a controlled manufacturing environment. Position Overview The Junior Technician will support the testing and validation of HVAC and chiller systems prior to shipment. This role works closely with experienced technicians and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets performance and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Assist with functional testing of HVAC and chiller units in a factory test environment Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues Work alongside senior technicians to diagnose and repair equipment as needed Help with system start-up procedures and performance verification Read and follow basic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions Document test results, issues, and repairs accurately Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company standards Work Environment Factory-based role with hands-on work in test bays and production areas Collaboration with senior technicians, engineers, and quality teams Some overtime may be required based on production schedules What You'll Do (Day-to-Day) Learn chiller and HVAC system operation through hands-on exposure Assist in running equipment through test cycles Support troubleshooting efforts and corrective actions Build foundational skills in controls, refrigeration, and mechanical systems What You Bring 0-3 years of HVAC or mechanical experience (school, internship, or field exposure) Basic understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycle, or electrical fundamentals Technical training or certification preferred (HVAC program, trade school, etc.) Ability to read basic diagrams and use hand tools Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Nice to Have Exposure to chillers, air handling units, or large commercial HVAC systems EPA 608 certification (or willingness to obtain) Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge Why Join XNRGY Hands-on training with advanced HVAC and chiller systems Work in a modern manufacturing facility supporting high-growth industries Clear path to grow into mid-level and senior technician roles Stable, team-oriented environment with consistent work location
