JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure that all work requests pertaining to kitchens, function rooms, food outlets and public areas are maintained with a reasonable amount of repair.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on refrigeration equipment. Maintain and repair all refrigeration equipment in the building and kitchens including walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, under counter coolers and freezers, reach ins, cold plates, uprights and water filtration systems. Work on other equipment as needed. Maintain correct stock/inventory of refrigeration supplies and filers and communicate when replenishment is needed. Respond to all requests from guests and associates. Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs. Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures. Keep all work areas clean. Assist during building emergencies (e.g., leak repairs). Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Performs other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EPA universal licenses are required. Previous refrigeration maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems. Experience in reading and interpreting schematics. Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel and ability to learn other related engineering programs. Must be organized and mechanically inclined with strong desire to learn building mechanics. Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests. Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions. May be asked to be part of "ride-out" crew during severe weather events. Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS
Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including the use of handheld and powered tools.

Hardware and tools, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine and push to talk radio.
