Operations Manager or Facility Manager Position Summary:
The Fuel Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs on fuel system equipment and related components. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual with experience working around fueling systems, dispensers, pumps, tanks, and associated equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of diagnosing operational issues in the field.Available Shifts:
1 day shift and 1 night shift, 3 days per week/12 hour shiftsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of fueling equipment, systems, and facility components to ensure safe and compliant operations. Inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs on fueling equipment and systems. Troubleshoot issues involving fuel dispensers, pumps, hoses, nozzles, filters, valves, and monitoring equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on fueling systems and related mechanical equipment. Receive fuel deliveries, verify fuel quantities, inspect deliveries for accuracy and compliance, and complete all associated delivery paperwork and documentation. Monitor fuel inventory levels and report discrepancies or operational concerns. Identify equipment malfunctions and communicate repair recommendations to management. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and service calls. Ensure fueling equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate inspection reports, service records, maintenance logs, compliance documentation, and work orders within the company CMMS or work order system. Respond to emergency service calls as needed. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and technicians when major repairs are required. Follow all company safety procedures and environmental compliance regulations. Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and service vehicles. Support facility operations and assist with additional maintenance tasks as assigned.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with fueling equipment, fuel systems, or mechanical maintenance preferred. Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues. Basic knowledge of fuel dispensers, pumps, tanks, and fuel management systems preferred. Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use email, tablets, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work order systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background screening and drug testing if required.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable working around fuel systems and industrial equipment. Ability to respond to field service calls and travel between locations if needed.Preferred Skills:
Experience with Gasboy, Veeder-Root, Gilbarco, Wayne, or similar fueling systems. Knowledge of fuel inventory or fuel management systems. Electrical or low-voltage troubleshooting experience is a plus. Experience in fleet, marina, or commercial fueling environments preferred.Work Environment:
This position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments and may require after-hours or weekend support depending on operational needs. Safety compliance and attention to detail are essential in all aspects of the role.Additional Information:
