Refrigeration and Controls Technician H2O Everywhere Pompano Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $28 - $32 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Chilled water HVAC systems EPA Type I Electrical schematic reading and interpretation EPA Type II Mechanical drawings Driver's License Appliance repair Water systems Mechanical troubleshooting Service technician experience Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Refrigeration and Controls Technician to support the assembly, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG) systems. This role combines refrigeration expertise with electrical controls integration and system diagnostics.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with refrigeration equipment, electrical control systems, sensors, PLCs, pumps, and integrated electromechanical systems. This position supports both field service operations and research & development activities for advanced water-generation technologies. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, boilers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation. Conduct plumbing repairs related to refrigeration and HVAC systems; install new piping or replace faulty components. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs or modifications. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to document system performance and repairs. Support property maintenance activities by ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely; assist with appliance repair as needed. Operate a driver vehicle safely when transporting equipment or parts between sites. Follow safety protocols related to refrigerant handling and electrical work; adhere to OSHA standards. Experience Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, or mechanical maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles is required for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with plumbing installations/repairs related to HVAC/refrigeration systems. Field service experience working directly on equipment repair in commercial or industrial settings preferred. Certification or training in EPA 608 Type I and II is a plus; valid driver's license required.
