Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Refrigeration Technician (Cold Side) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technician with strong troubleshooting skills who can handle service calls independently and help guide junior techs in the field. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, and HVAC. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues Work on walk-in coolers/freezers, prep tables, ice machines, and HVAC. Check and adjust superheat and subcooling Identify and resolve airflow, defrost, and metering device issues Complete service calls independently and efficiently Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues and solutions Maintain accurate service notes and documentation Assist and mentor junior technicians when needed Requirements Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience Strong knowledge of cold side systems Ability to troubleshoot to help other technicians Experience with TXVs, defrost systems, and controls EPA Certification (required) Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to work on-call and occasional overtime Preferred Qualifications Welding experience is a plus but not a requirement
