Job Description

Refrigeration Technician/Refrigeration Maintenance
JOB TYPE

LOCATION
•Warner Robins/Macon, GA areaIf you have a
HANDS ON
work history with the repair and troubleshooting of industrial Refrigeration systems, and you are able to describe/walk through the cycles of refrigeration when asked, this is a role made for you, that is centered on ensuring reliable operation of an industrial ammonia refrigeration system within a fast paced production environment.

In this role, as part of the plant maintenance team, you will support plant operations by keeping critical cooling equipment running safely and efficiently, working closely with supervisors, technicians, and fellow operators working to maintain system performance and meeting facility needs to ensure 24/7 availability and performance.

The ideally qualified refrigeration professional will bring the ability to perform AS MUCH of the following, on day one:

Operate, monitor, and maintain ammonia based refrigeration systems and related mechanical componentsPerform scheduled maintenance tasks using a CMMS and follow established safety and regulatory standardsInspect, organize, and properly use tools required for routine and corrective maintenanceDocument maintenance activities, system checks, incidents, and compliance recordsConduct daily system walk throughs to verify proper operation of refrigeration equipmentReference P and IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to support troubleshooting and repairsCarry out basic water and chemical testing associated with refrigeration system operationReview system controls and historical data to identify performance issues and make necessary adjustmentsSafely charge or remove ammonia from the system following written proceduresExecute line break procedures when isolating equipment for serviceParticipate in emergency response, PSM activities, and facility safety programsAssist with audits, inspections, and corrective action implementationIf the duties above look like WHAT you want to be doing, we would like you to bring the following experience, training and hands-on capabilities to the position:
EDUCATION
•High school diploma or equivalent is a MUST, with Priority consideration given to those with Formal ammonia refrigeration training; RETA CARO or CIRO certification.

Prior HAZMAT or
HAZWOPER 40
hour training and related emergency response experience
EXPERIENCE
•We are looking for those with 2 or more of direct, Hands-on years of experience working with industrial ammonia refrigeration systemsAbility to interpret SDS information and understand chemical safety principles for anhydrous ammoniaExperience using full face respirators, SCBA, and PPE required for ammonia emergency responseStrong mechanical aptitude for maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipmentFamiliarity with
OSHA PSM
