Overview:
This role supports plant operations by maintaining and repairing critical utility systems, including refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, and compressed air systems. The position plays a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems, HVAC units, boilers, and air compressors
- Conduct daily system checks including temperature, pressure, and humidity monitoring
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance across industrial utility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and electrical components
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose system issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and uptime
- Coordinate with contractors and assist with system upgrades when needed
Qualifications:

Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems (NH3) required

Willingness to obtain Boiler Operator certification

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Experience with CMMS or SAP preferred

Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams

Comfortable working independently and prioritizing tasks
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments

Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces, and with safety equipment

Must comply with OSHA, PSM, and safety regulations

Ability to operate or become certified on forklifts and lifts
