This is not a general automotive position. We are specifically seeking technicians with strong experience in one or more of the following: Transport refrigeration Reefer units Truck HVAC / auxiliary HVAC Trailer refrigeration systems Diesel-powered refrigeration equipment Field or mobile truck service If you've worked on Thermo King, Carrier Transicold, truck refrigeration, trailer refrigeration, diesel-driven HVAC systems, or similar mobile cooling equipment , we want to talk with you. Why This Role Stands Out High earning potential for experienced techs Overtime available On-call pay Company-paid uniforms Tool allowance Strong benefits package Long-term stability with an established Michigan company Opportunity to grow into a senior or master-level technician role What You'll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units and related systems Troubleshoot electrical, diesel, and refrigeration problems on truck and trailer equipment Perform repairs on reefer units, truck A/C systems, trailer refrigeration equipment, and related components Read and interpret electrical and refrigeration schematics Complete service documentation accurately Work safely in a shop environment and, depending on background, possibly in a mobile/service capacity Deliver high-quality service with minimal supervision What We're Looking For Strongly preferred experience in: Reefer service Transport refrigeration Truck-based HVAC or refrigeration Mobile truck service Diesel diagnostics tied to refrigeration systems Semi-truck / trailer service environments Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience, preferably in transport refrigeration, reefer service, truck service, diesel equipment, or mobile service Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues Own tools and rolling toolbox Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation Ability to lift 65 lbs. Comfortable using a laptop or tablet for diagnostics and repair documentation Highly Preferred Direct experience with Thermo King or Carrier reefer units EPA certification Experience with truck electrical systems Experience working in a shop tech or mobile reefer tech role Willingness to Learn Ability or willingness to obtain chauffeur/Class 8 driving qualifications if needed Compensation We are serious about attracting experienced talent.
