Job Description
Aloft Hotel Kansas City Country Club Plaza and Cascade Hotel Kansas City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel are seeking an experienced and dependable Engineer to join our team. Located on the Country Club Plaza, these Marriott-branded hotels feature nearly 300 guest rooms, multiple food and beverage outlets, over 15,000 square feet of meeting space, and elevated guest experiences inspired by Kansas City's history and culture. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high-quality hotel operations and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform general hotel maintenance and repairs Execute preventative maintenance programs Complete basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs Assist with weather-proofing and facility upkeep Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns Follow all safety and security procedures Maintain organized inventory, tools, and documentation Be available for emergency calls during off-duty hours when needed Deliver excellent guest service while working throughout the property Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of hospitality maintenance experience preferred Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems Ability to safely use tools, test equipment, and measuring devices Strong communication and guest service skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Valid driver's license required Ability to obtain a Class E License to operate hotel shuttle Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screen in accordance with federal and state laws Physical Requirements Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures Benefits Eligible full-time associates may receive: Affordable health insurance with employer contributions Dental, vision, accident, critical illness, and life insurance options Paid Time Off (PTO) Marriott hotel discounts worldwide Career growth opportunities within hospitality If you are ready to be part of an exciting and growing hotel team in the heart of Kansas City, we encourage you to apply today.
