You'll be the trusted expert diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration and ice equipment in the field. We value skilled technicians, strong work ethic, and customer-focused service. Compensation is competitive, based on experience, and negotiable. What You'll Do As a Refrigeration & Ice Machine Service Technician, you will specialize in commercial refrigeration systems and ice machines, providing dependable service with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, and ice machines Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and longevity Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer service manuals Communicate directly with manufacturers for technical support, parts identification, and warranty processing Install refrigeration and ice machine components accurately and in compliance with company standards Complete all required service documentation, including work orders, time entries, receipts, and truck stock updates Follow all safety guidelines, EPA regulations, and accident-prevention procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicle Meet productivity and performance expectations while delivering high-quality repairs What We're Looking For We're seeking self-motivated technicians who take pride in their work and can operate independently while representing Bi-State Refrigeration professionally in the field.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent EPA certification required (additional certifications a plus, including CFESA) Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and/or ice machines Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision Why Join Bi-State Refrigeration?
