Additional Information About the Role Wednesday - Saturday shift from 9:30pm-8am Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Facilities Engineering maintains 6 million square foot of facilities dedicated to clinical and academic functions. Facilities Engineering is comprised of 150 professionals, including engineers, MEP mechanics, building finishes and support staff. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Install, maintain, and repair various facility HVAC, refrigeration, and specialty systems such as medical gas and fire protection systems including distribution piping and electro-mechanical equipment and devices. Accomplishes the most difficult repairs and overhauls on any of the mechanical equipment in any facility in the system. Responsibilities Keeps equipment clean and operational. Handles and disposes of hazardous and or infectious waste properly and practices infection control. Adheres to regulatory guidelines. Repairs and maintains all aspects of the facility's heating, ventilation and air conditioning, medical gas, fluid equipment distribution and fire protection systems. Performs routine preventative and predictive maintenance on assigned systems and equipment including calibration, alignment, and balancing. Ensures all completed assignments meet all applicable code requirements. Operates building automation system and makes modifications and additions to the system as required.
