Perm Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to support a facility operating large-scale cooling systems. This role focuses on maintaining consistent system performance through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

Duties:

Perform daily inspections of chillers, compressors, pumps, and refrigeration systems Monitor system pressures, temperatures, and flow rates for optimal performance Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related issues Repair or replace components such as motors, valves, sensors, and controls Service air-cooled, water-cooled, and process chillers Maintain auxiliary equipment including circulation and condenser water pumps Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning coils, filters, heat exchangers, lubrication, etc.) Complete work orders, logs, and maintenance documentation Respond to system alarms and operational issues Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols

Requirements:

5-10 years of industrial or commercial refrigeration experience Strong knowledge of chillers, pumps, and cooling systems Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills EPA Certification required

Work Environment:

Indoor industrial facility

Tools & PPE:

Hard hat ANSI-rated safety glasses Steel-toe or composite-toe boots Cut-resistant gloves Basic hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.) Socket sets, pipe wrenches, torque wrench

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and twist throughout the shift Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted Position requires the use of PPE, including: steel-toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves

Additional Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation to the job site Must be able to pass a drug and background screening
