First up might be a downed walk-in cooler where you methodically isolate faults, swap components, and get the customer back online with minimal downtime. Midday, you pivot to a preventative maintenance route—verifying pressures and temperatures, inspecting electrical connections, calibrating controls, and documenting findings. In the afternoon, you collaborate with teammates on a planned equipment install, wrap up detailed service notes, and speak with clients about system performance and recommendations. Throughout, you're the steady hand customers rely on—organized, safety-minded, and clear in your communication. What you'll do Install, commission, and service commercial refrigeration equipment and supporting components. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues; perform timely repairs to limit customer disruption. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to boost reliability and efficiency. Coordinate with dispatch and fellow technicians to complete work orders and projects on schedule. Capture accurate service notes, parts used, and repair history. Deliver professional, customer-centered communication on-site and after service. Keep current with new refrigeration technologies, tools, and best practices. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in refrigeration is a plus. Hands-on experience as a refrigeration technician or closely related role. Solid grasp of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and HVAC fundamentals. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting approach and meticulous attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Clear communicator with a service-first mindset.
