Our customers range from quick-service restaurants and concession operations to national food service brands that rely on our experienced technicians to maintain and repair the equipment critical to their business. As we continue to expand into new markets, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Kitchen Equipment & HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team. Position Summary The Commercial Kitchen Equipment & HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. This role requires expertise with both hot-side and cold-side equipment, strong technical troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is an experienced technician who takes pride in solving complex equipment issues, minimizing customer downtime, and representing the company professionally. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. Service and repair commercial cooking equipment including ovens, RATIONAL ovens, steamers, warmers, holding cabinets, and related equipment. Service and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, and beverage systems. Perform preventive maintenance inspections to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints. Accurately document service calls, labor hours, parts usage, and customer interactions. Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and timelines clearly to customers. Maintain truck inventory and ensure required parts and tools are stocked. Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner. Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations. Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development programs. Represent the company with professionalism and always provide outstanding customer service. Required Qualifications HVAC/R Certification (Required) Minimum 2 years of commercial HVAC/R and food service equipment repair experience. Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing both hot-side and cold-side commercial kitchen equipment. Strong electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and work in confined spaces. Ownership of industry-standard hand tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience servicing quick-service restaurant equipment. EPA Universal Certification. Experience with Rational Ovens ( highly preferred ). Manufacturer certifications and factory training on commercial foodservice equipment. Willingness to travel up to 50%. Participation in an on-call rotation as needed.
Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
