Commercial Refrigeration Technician:

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance repair, with a strong background in mechanical systems, plumbing, and electrical schematics. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration units and HVAC systems across various property types. A valid driver's license is required to ensure timely field service visits. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal operation of refrigeration and HVAC equipment, providing exceptional service to clients and maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC units. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and electrical diagrams to accurately troubleshoot issues. Conduct plumbing repairs related to refrigeration systems and HVAC components. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for diagnostics and repairs. Install new equipment or upgrade existing systems following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local building codes. Provide excellent field service support for property maintenance projects involving HVAC or refrigeration systems. Skills Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. Skilled in plumbing, welding, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with HVAC/R equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, and property maintenance systems. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Construction experience is a plus for installation projects. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for field service operations. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision.
