Commercial HVAC Service Manager

Lead and coordinate all aspects of commercial HVAC service operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of maintenance and repairs. Supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance on technical tasks such as equipment repair, refrigeration systems, plumbing, and boiler maintenance. Review schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and develop effective solutions. Oversee field service activities including troubleshooting air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment. Manage service schedules, prioritize work orders, and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment repairs, parts inventory, and client interactions using Service Titan for accountability and continuous improvement. Foster strong relationships with clients by providing expert advice on property maintenance needs and recommending upgrades or system enhancements. Proven experience in customer retention roles with a focus on HVAC service technician work or mechanical maintenance. Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems—including refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and refrigeration—along with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience in equipment operation, diagnosis repair, welding, plumbing, chilled water systems, boiler maintenance and DDC controls. Familiarity with field service operations including property maintenance tasks, local codes and troubleshooting. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams of technicians in fast-paced environments. Certifications or training in HVAC design, refrigeration systems, or related fields are highly desirable.
