Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and licensed Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance repair, with a strong background in mechanical systems, plumbing, and electrical schematics. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration units and HVAC systems across various property types. Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in the field. A valid driver's license is required for this position. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal operation of refrigeration and HVAC equipment, contributing to property maintenance and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on air conditioning units, boilers, and other mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately service equipment. Conduct plumbing repairs related to refrigeration and HVAC systems as needed. Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs. Install, service, and repair HVAC components, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Perform equipment repair tasks including welding, component replacement, and system calibration. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Adhere to safety protocols during field service operations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC and refrigeration systems as required. Qualifications Valid Commercial Refrigeration License or equivalent certification. Proven experience as a service technician in refrigeration, HVAC, or appliance repair fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC design, schematics reading, and equipment repair. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable. Experience with plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and property maintenance is preferred. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Construction or field service experience is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues independently. A valid driver's license is required; a driver's license is preferred for local travel requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
