Refrigeration Service Specialist - Commercial Equipment TNT HeatingAir Overview TNT HeatingAir is looking to add a skilled Refrigeration Service Specialist to support commercial clients who rely on mission-critical cooling systems every day. This role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration equipment used in restaurants, grocery stores, food service operations, and other commercial environments. You'll be responsible for keeping walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and display systems operating reliably and efficiently.

Pay Range:

$30 - $40 per hour Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair a variety of commercial refrigeration systems including walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, and ice machines Perform both preventative maintenance and emergency service calls to reduce downtime and system failures Replace and repair core components such as compressors, expansion valves, motors, controls, refrigerant lines, and electrical parts Charge systems and verify proper operating pressures, temperatures, and performance Identify early signs of equipment failure and document findings clearly for preventative action Maintain a fully stocked, organized, and clean company service vehicle Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal team members regarding job updates and recommendations Recommend system improvements, replacements, and service agreements when appropriate Follow all EPA compliance standards and safety procedures for refrigerant handling and system service Support and mentor junior technicians when needed while representing TNT in a professional manner on every job site Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration service or repair Strong knowledge of low-temperature and medium-temperature refrigeration systems EPA Universal Certification required Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues Familiarity with major brands such as Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, True, Turbo Air, and similar Ability to work in tight spaces, extreme temperatures, and physically demanding environments Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience plus bonus opportunities Company-provided vehicle, tools, phone, and uniform Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options Paid training and continued technical development Reliable 24/7 support structure from a strong internal team Long-term stability with a growing and respected service company Additional BenefitsPerks High-value spiffs and commission opportunities, performance-based efficiency bonuses, 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision/life insurance, Roth IRA with up to 3% company match, paid time off, company vehicle, mobile device provided, family-oriented culture, ongoing training programs, and opportunities to earn NATE certification and other industry credentials.
