Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and related mechanical systems across commercial properties. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of grocery stores refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and property maintenance equipment. Your expertise will help keep our clients' facilities running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated technician with a passion for mechanical systems, field service work, and problem-solving to make a tangible impact every day. Responsibilities Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration units, including ammonia refrigeration systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical circuits and mechanical components. Service appliances, plumbing fixtures, boilers, and other mechanical equipment within commercial properties. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and parts used for each job. Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in refrigeration, HVAC/R systems, or property maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and ammonia refrigeration technology. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is preferred. Skilled in welding, boiler maintenance, appliance repair, and general mechanical troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar commercial vehicles is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision.
