Refrigeration Technician

Description:

The Refrigeration Technician position would include ensuring optimum functionality for our anhydrous ammonia equipment and systems by performing inspections, completing predictive and preventive maintenance measures, and repairing and modifying equipment and systems with the use of a variety of hand tools and power tools. Refrigeration Technicians also identify follow-up work required, work to improve the condition of all refrigeration equipment/system, work as a team member with a positive attitude, help promote and communicate maintenance and reliability to the organization, and perform other duties including housekeeping, attending safety training, and attending communication meetings.

Key Accountabilities:

Completing preventative, predictive, reactive, and precision maintenance Documenting all completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various components and systems including, but not limited to, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, motors, and controls Operating scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms Interacting on a regular basis with peers and management Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, as well as lifting/rigging equipment Comprehending P&ID's, mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures Maintaining a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be 18 years or older Must have previous industrial refrigeration or HVAC experience Aility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold (-45 degrees), dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator Basic computer skills (Microsoft office and Microsoft Teams) Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) Ability to work in confined spaces Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, different shifts, and on-call schedule Must successfully complete a respiratory physical and participate on a HAZMAT team

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of one year of industrial refrigeration experience Experience with predictive/precision maintenance Experience with welding, fabrication, and/or pipe fitting Experience troubleshooting and maintaining various components and systems such as but not limited to packaging equipment, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, belt or roller conveyors, pumps, gear reducers, or bearings Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Such as SAP, Maximo, MP2. Completion of a refrigeration or HVAC training program or demonstrated experience performing refrigeration-related work

Pay:

$30.68 - $42.38 per hour
