Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex machinery and systems within a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, including experience with industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where technical expertise and customer service excellence are valued. The Service Technician will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction through proactive maintenance and field service support. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and industrial machinery. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using schematics, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Run errands and pick up supplies as needed in company vehicle. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Perform electrical troubleshooting involving low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering to safety standards. Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely for access during maintenance tasks. Repair or replace components using welding techniques specific to welding standards when necessary. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate accurate repairs. Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment specifications and maintenance requirements. Collaborate with clients to provide field service support that enhances operational uptime. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with industry regulations. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance procedures. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by skills in welding and welding techniques. Electrical experience with low voltage and high voltage systems; ability to use ammeters and ohmmeters effectively. Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately for troubleshooting purposes. Experience operating scissor lifts safely in industrial environments. Current Drivers lisence and eligable to drive company vehicles. Excellent customer service skills combined with analysis capabilities for problem resolution. Industrial electrician experience preferred; military background is considered an asset for discipline and technical training. Fluency in English required for effective communication across diverse teams.
