Service Technician

Rent A Can Toilet Company provides portable sanitation solutions for the community for a variety of applications, i.e. construction projects, businesses - large or small, public and private events, residential properties, and more. We are currently looking for hardworking, motivated, and reliable individuals to join our expanding team of Portable Toilet Service Technicians. •This job is located in Eagle River. You must have reliable transportation to work every day. •

Responsibilities & Skills:

Delivering, servicing (i.e. pumping, washing, repairing, restocking, cleaning) and picking up portable toilets, sinks, and restroom trailers Operating company vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and local laws Completing daily safety inspections of vehicle and driver logs Interacting with clients and reporting their needs or concerns to appropriate office personnel Basic knowledge of smartphones or tablets to operate company routing software Basic knowledge of hand tools to perform minor repairs, as needed Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanics (preferred) Basic reading, writing, and math skills with the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions Successful candidates will be: Punctual and reliable Detail oriented Trustworthy A team player with the ability to work independently Efficient and able to meet company performance standards Friendly and approachable Self-starter and responsible Adaptable Minimum Qualifications ( No exceptions will be made ): Must have at least a valid Class D license (a CDL is NOT required) Must have a clean driving record (ex. NO DUI, reckless driving, etc. in the last 5 years) Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card Must be able to pass drug testing, including marijuana per DOT regulations (first day of employment and at any time, without notice) Must be able to get access to secure locations, such as on base, the airport, or the Port of Anchorage Must have a full range of motion and the ability to lift 70 pounds with or without assistance (frequent sitting, lifting, standing, walking, bending, and transporting objects of various weights/sizes) Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed Benefits (after probationary periods are met): Medical Dental 401k (with company match) Paid Time Off In the next steps, you'll be asked a series of questions.
