Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable End-User Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for facility managers, institutional buyers, and business owners, providing expert guidance on commercial doors, frames, architectural hardware, and Division 10 specialties. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and ensuring our clients' facilities are secure, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities Business Development:
Identify and aggressively pursue new end-user sales opportunities within target markets (e.g., healthcare, education, commercial real estate, government).
Account Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their facility needs.
Site Surveys & Consultations:
Conduct on-site walkthroughs to assess customer needs, troubleshoot existing hardware issues, and recommend appropriate life-safety and security upgrades.
Estimating & Bidding:
Prepare accurate take-offs, generate detailed proposals, and present competitive bids for Division 10 specialties and door/hardware packages.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, vendors, and installation teams to ensure materials are procured accurately, and projects are executed on time.
Code Compliance:
Ensure all recommended products and solutions strictly adhere to local building codes, fire/life-safety regulations, and ADA compliance standards.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3+years of outside sales experience, specifically within the commercial door, architectural hardware, or Division 10 construction specialties industry.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of hollow metal doors, wood doors, electronic access control, and mechanical hardware.
Skills:
Proven ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and specifications. Read a Tape Measure.
Clean Driving Record Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present technical solutions to non-technical decision-makers.
Drive:
A self-starter mentality with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Preferred Qualifications DHI Certifications (e.g., AHC, CDC, EHC) are a major plus. Familiarity with TOAD based software (e.g., Comsense, Software for Hardware) and Manufacturer-specific estimating software.
