We are committed to investing in our personnel and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Ten-8 Fire & Safety. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of fire and emergency equipment within a manufacturing facility environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to safety and operational excellence in a dynamic industry. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fire and emergency apparatus using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues utilizing precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Repair or replace components including hydraulics systems, electrical wiring (low voltage and high voltage), motors, pumps, valves, and structural elements such as welding or <

> welding. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems integral to equipment operation. Maintain accurate records of service activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, parts inventory, and work order tracking. Assist with field service calls at customer sites when required, ensuring timely resolution of issues with professionalism and technical expertise. Follow safety protocols related to industrial mechanic work, electrical systems, HVAC/R components, and high-voltage equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility or industrial maintenance environment. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with industrial electrician tasks including wiring (including <
LOCATION
> welding), schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and system diagrams accurately. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication in English. Industrial mechanic experience with a background in welding ( welding preferred), electrical troubleshooting (low voltage/high voltage), and industrial electrician experience is highly desirable. Military background or experience in related fields is considered an asset due to the discipline and technical skills acquired.
