Service Technician

Summary:

The Service Technician will perform repair work and maintenance for equipment and parts.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical defects and determine extent of needed repair in tractors, skid steers, track loaders, cranes, mowers, forklifts, rollers, compactors, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, scrapers, excavators and other diesel and gas-powered agricultural, construction and turf equipment, to include handheld equipment. Weld and fabricate. Diagnose and repair automotive-style air conditioning systems. Perform diagnostics on CAN Bus systems. Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical wiring. Perform diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic systems, including but not limited to pumps, motors, and cylinders. Electronically documents repairs fully in a clearly understood manner. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Basic computing skills including Microsoft Office. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of equipment repair. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Ability to read parts manuals and correctly select parts needed for equipment repairs. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail. Exceptional time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self- starter and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, unassisted. Work in confined spaces. Could be required to stand for long periods of time.
