Technician Job Description The Technician I operates, maintains, and troubleshoots two- and three-phase centrifuges to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality processing of water, oil, and gases in a heavy industrial environment. This role involves hands-on mechanical work, minor repairs, and cleaning of equipment, as well as the safe transfer, mixing, cleaning, and shipping of chemicals using pumps, bins, and vacuum trucks. The position requires extensive travel and flexibility to work any shift while supporting field operations in demanding conditions. Responsibilities Operate two- and three-phase centrifuges to improve and maintain a clean output of water, oil, and gases. Perform quality control checks on the centrifuge process to ensure consistent and reliable performance. Clean centrifuge machines and associated equipment to maintain safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues with centrifuges and related systems in the field. Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on centrifuges and other field equipment using appropriate hand tools. Conduct preventive maintenance on centrifuges, pumps, and related mechanical systems to minimize downtime. Safely transfer, mix, clean, and prepare chemicals using pumps, bins, and vacuum trucks in accordance with safety procedures. Assist with installation and setup of centrifuges and related equipment at field locations. Carry out general and manual labor tasks associated with field service operations in an industrial environment. Travel frequently to field sites, primarily in Las Vegas and Santa Barbara, to support ongoing operations and service needs. Work any assigned shift, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime, as required by project demands. Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures while working in heavy industrial environments exposed to the elements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
