Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Customer Service, Americas, the electronics repair technician will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and testing of L-Acoustics' electronics and loudspeaker products, serving as a crucial technical support resource within the Customer Service department, offering technical assistance to both internal and external customers. Based in our office in Westlake Village, the ideal candidate will be experienced in troubleshooting and repairing professional audio equipment (or similar), have a solid understanding of electronics and audio signal flow, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting, testing, updating, refurbishing, and repairing L-Acoustics' electronics and loudspeaker products in our Westlake Village workshop. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed. Provide technical assistance via phone or email, assisting internal and external customers with remote diagnosis of L-Acoustics equipment. Assist with the development and improvement of customer service department processes, documentation and procedures. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Skills and Education background:
Diploma, certification, degree, or equivalent technical accreditation in electronics or a related field. 4 years of proven hands-on experience in repairing and servicing electronics and loudspeaker products. Strong understanding of electronic theory, circuits, components, and systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment used for servicing professional audio equipment. Strong solder and desoldering skills. Fluency withERP / CRM
(Microsoft Dynamics preferred), and in the Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint…) Good communication and customer service skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift 50 lbs. periodically and stand for long periods of time.
